Media Education (also known as media literacy) is the defined as the ability

different forms. The term “media Literacy” has been used by
scholars and educators to talk about the process of learning to critically
analyze and create media messages, encompassing media from traditional
print in books to film, video, television, sound, and newer types of multimedia.

Academic Paper: “Sound & Multimodality Theory” (forthcoming)

communication. In my research thesis I espouse looking at the different
aspects of sound – speech, music, and soundscape noises - as distinct
modes of communication instead of one mode: sound. |
